Update

Sorry this took so long. Took Chey in on Sat. morning. No strep. She had a bacterial infection in her throat. *sigh* got her on heavy antibiotics that day and her fever broke that night. she woke up in a puddle shivering. Thank goodness. No one else in the house has gotten in thankfully. I am pretty much on the mend finally as well. just a residual cough that I'll likely have for a couple more weeks.

Started yesterday after having wicked cramps for a solid week. Now I just feel as if my innards are being carved out with a dull rusty butter knife. :( I'm so thankful for pain pills. got a whole 21 days reprieve from the ending of my last till yesterday. So much fun. UGH. I'm pretty confident Pip didn't inherit this. Now I just have to wait and see with Chey. She scares me because she is developing as fast as I did and has my total body type. I pray almost daily she won't end up like this.

Any ways for the 1st time in 3 month is seems my house is healthy. I have bleached and Lysol any thing and everything in the house that can be so hopefully we'll all stay that way. Thanks to all for your prayers.

WWYD????

Ok Chey started running a temp on sat night. about 102-103. I stayed home on Sunday morning with her. She seemed fine on Sunday night other than a cough. I sent her to school on Monday. she came home tired but otherwise OK. She went to school yesterday and came home exhausted. She fell asleep on the couch almost instantly after eating a half of a grilled cheese sandwich. She woke up about 2 hours later with an upset stomach. She didn't throw up but turned white as a sheet a seemed to almost pass out for a few minutes. scared the livin day lights outa me. If I had had the truck I might have rushed her to the ER. She was once again running a fever. I gave her Motrin. She seemed ok after a little while.

I kept her home today and she kept a low grade fever with Motrin all day. She's been very pale with dark circles under her eyes. She seems in good spirits though. Her Motrin wore off tonight and her fever spiked at 103. Still she seemed in good spirits despite the fever.

Obviously she is staying home tomorrow again but I can't take her in because B has the truck (jeep is still down) and I can't take him to work because the weather is NASTY (snow, sleet ice, and they don't salt beyond the hwy here) So Friday morning is the soonest I can get her in I think. :(

Would you have B stay home tomorrow or come home early so I can take her in? Or just wait till Fri. I swear this child has me a complete and total wreck. I don't like the way she looks and I don't like this weird fever. She's not in any pain any where and her only other symptom is just a cough. I'm usually not a nervous Nelly when it comes to the kids and colds but this one has me nuts. :( I swear this child will be the death of me yet.

Heart sick

I'm so heart sick for the Travolta family! I can't imagine the pain they are in right now. I watched an interview on Oprah when Jett was only 3 years old and the way John's entire face lit up made me smile so much. He loved that boy beyond words. It's so rare to see such close families in Hollywood. It's so utterly depressing to have such tragedy hit a family like that. I can not imagine their pain. I thought of sending a sympathy card to them but I imagine their will be millions of them.

My prayers go out to that family

Happy New Year !!!

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas and happy new year. we had a nice Xmas. The kids were very happy with their gifts. we didn't have an extravagant Xmas but a good one. Sadly I spent most of the day in bed. Xmas eve was just too much for me still being sick. So Xmas day I laid down about 1 pm and almost instantly fell asleep and B woke me up about 6:30. *sigh*

New years eve was nice and quite. we went out to red lobster for our anniversary dinner. It was so nice and so yummy. came home and watched the stupid ball drop. still can't believe that is our big deal. You'd think we could be more creative than that.

My period finally went away after 22 days but I started getting crampy again yesterday so I'm sure it will be back any time now. All of a 12 day break so far. *sigh* I FINALLY started feeling like I was getting past this cold that last couple of days but then last night started getting snotty again. :( AND Chey started coughing yesterday and by last night had a 101 fever. her fever is more mild this morning but she still has a cough. And of course school starts back tomorrow. We have not had everyone in this house healthy for more than 2 months now and I am so beyond tired of illness. I can NOT wait till spring. *sigh*

Hope everyone had a nice holiday season and is no being plagued by all the illness going around. sending out healthy prayers to everyone. Could use a few ourselves.

WHEW!!!

Well that was exhausting. we left the house at 8 am this morning nad we didn't get home untill 6 pm this evening and I am BEAT!!!! We weren't able to get everything we wanted but most of it. The kids will have a nice xmas. wish we could have gone home for xmas but with the truck giving us fits lately we were afraid to take the chance.

I have tocos in the making then choco chip cookies fr santa to make after dinner. then I get to get the kids off to bed so I can spend the other half of the night wrapping presents. *sigh* But at least my little kids still believe in santa at 10 and almost 9 which is no small miracle in this day and age and something I am very gratefull for.

One thing I found vastly amusing today was the fact that 90% of the people out today were men. ROTFLMBO nothing like waiting till the last minute. I also knoticed that either looked bewildred or disgruntaled LOL. Sevar were at teh jewlry stores going out of business in the mall. lol And some had all their kids in toe. Aparently giving mom a chance to shop or taking them shopping for mom.

Just thought it was vastly amauzing.

Merry Christmas to all my friends.

Well

The little ones went back to school today. Not sure how long they will last. Gave them benadryl before they left but as soon as it wears off they will be itching so they might have to come home. They'll have all of break to recuperate. Most of the swelling is gone from Chey's face but she's still pretty rashy. Lance didn't get it nearly as bad. So glad they are on the mend. I am a nervous wreck when the kids are sick.

I on the other hand am not much if any better 3 doses into my zpack. Not sure what the problem is. I was much better when I had pneumonia after this many doses. To add to it I am on day 19 of my period and I think my newest one hit last night because the bleeding worsened. I guess I'm not going to get a reprieve at all this month. Not sure what the heck is going on unless this is due to peri-menopause. *sigh* I will be SO grateful when I don't have them any more. I am spending more $ on pads now than milk I think and that is a real feat in this house. :(

This weekend promises to be a busy one. Play practice for the little kids tomorrow for Sunday morning. then play practice for us adults after church on Sunday most of the day for Sunday night. Tomorrow I HAVE to go shopping for the kids gift exchange at church and my secret pal. I also have to make my bouche de noel and croquembouche for after church on Sunday night.

Guess who gets to go do ALL of their Christmas shopping on Xmas eve? Yep that would be me thanks to my truck soaking up all of our Xmas funds in advance. Bobby's dad wants us to drive down for Xmas but That's just not going to happen. We're worried about the truck breaking down though not for any firm reason other than paranoia. not to mention B has no vacation time so we would have to drive down early Xmas eve then run out the door to do our Xmas shopping at the last possible second. Even with Dad paying for our gas it just wouldn't be possible. *sigh* which really sucks because I would dearly love to spend Xmas with our families and see the older kids.

Got another US picture on my phone of my grandson. *sigh* oh how I miss those days. I am so very excited about this. You have no idea. I'm trying to figure out what the baby should call me LOL. My family always used Grandma except for my Dad's mom who was Nana. Don't care for that. Bobby's family always used Grammy. Don't really care for that. Bobby will be Pawpaw like his dad is to the kids. I'm deciding between grandma, meemaw, or mamaw. The latter 2 are what most people here call grandmas. LOL I'm leaning towards mamaw. So we would be mamaw and pawpaw. LOL Can you even BELIEVE I'm fixin to eb a grandma? For all my excitement it is making me feel SOOOOOO old. LOL But I have to tell you all it is wonderful despite that. The adult relationship with my son and DIL is so nice and looking forward to helping them through the newness of parenthood is so cool. even experiencing the pregnancy this way is just the coolest thing. And looking forward to a four generation Xmas next year is awesome. Enjoy your kids ladies but look totally forward to them grown with families of their own as well because it has a an amazing feeling too.

Help?

Ok Ladies. Anyone here ever had or had a kid with scarlet fever? I am freaking out. If it's possible Chey's face is TWICE as swollen this morning as yesterday. :( Bobby and I are beginning to wonder if they were diagnosed correctly. Chey has 1 large white spot on her throat. Her body is covered in rash her face being the worst. And there is NO fever at all. not even low grade. Lance is worst this morning as well but not even remotely close to what Chey is.

Technically they can go back to school tomorrow but there is no WAY I'm going to be able to send this little girl to school if she hasn't improved a 100% by then. she is so miserable. I'm worried to death. They said if she hasn't improved in 2-3 days to bring her back in. I'm not sure I can wait that long.

As for me the cough syrup worked awesome and I slept 10 hours straight last night and am finally coughing up this stuff in my chest. so I think I'm on the mend. thank goodness since I have Xmas to get ready for and haven't bought the 1st gift. and have 2 sick kids. Bobby's dad wants us to come down for Xmas and pay for gas but if these kids don't get better that is not going to happen. *sigh*

I'm so worried. any advice?
