I had truly hop[ed all my children would inherit my husbands healthy genes. not to much in the eye department. ALL of them need glasses. and all are so adaptable to their own handy caps that it has escaped not only my self but nurses doing eye screenings as well. Lance is far sited but has been able to force his eye muscles to contract enough to see through it. that is why I have a hard time getting him to read in the late evening and why he gets headaches if he plays his video games for too long. sooooo he has his glasses on order. he won't need them for any thing out side of reading and video game play though. BL's eyes have had such bad spasms that the doc had to put the super duper dilation drops in her eyes just to get a good reading. Doc said that she's never seen any thing like it. the 1st reading showed her as being near sited but the spasms were so bad she couldn't be sure. once her eyes were relaxed enough to test them she ended up being far sited LOL. so she now has a pair of contacts and says her eyes feel SO much more relaxed and less tired in the evening than they did. doc said the same thing as Lance her eyes were over correcting so hard that it was sending them into spasms and there was no way of knowing that there was a big problem. OY my kids are trying to make me feel like the worst parent.

As far as Chey. she got her glasses last sat and I have not stoped saying "Chey where are your glasses? get them on! do you want to wear patches?" but on her defence my stupidity was letting her pick out glasses that she wanted that are cute but really are to big for her head. I'm going to go back down this weekend and have her pick out a different pair that are smaller int he width so they won't be constantly sliding down her nose and irritating her. Hopefully that will have her keeping them on more.

I truly hope this is where my bad genetics ends with the children. Of course Bobby sat down and did the eye chart and STILL has crazy super man vision. it was 20/10 when we met almost 20 years ago and has only gone to 20/15. UGH 44 years old and the man has the most insanely good eye site. the doc told me he would one day succumb like everyone else but I some how have my doubts.

well I am off for a crazy day. hopefully after this weekend i will be able to post more often. OY
