Ugh

Well new reason to take Chey in for a check up. She has a decent mount of arm pit hair. ugh. How can that be? Anyone elses 9 year old have this. She's been using deoderant for almost 2 years now and now this. I am absalutly certain she is following in my early development footsteps. I will have to have her in training bras next year at latest. she already has to have a heavy shirt on or wear a camy or slip under certain things. I am betting I have about 2 years before she starts. :( I was BARELY 12 when I started. I am just praying this is not going to lead to endo. I DO NOT want her to have to deal with that. :(

So anyone elses marchy developing on this fast track?

Finally did it!

Well folks I finally did it. Mel I'm sure yer thrilled. Sat. June 13th. I had 12 inchs of hair cut off for locks of love. It needed cut badly so I decided it was long enough to spare the length for a good cause. everyone encluding B loves it except for me and I HATE it. It is WAY too short. and to make matters worse it is now CURLY :( I can't just get out of the shower and comb it and go because I look like Hermiony her 1st year at hogwarts. ugh. I'm just glad it grows fast. I should have the length back in the next year to 18 months. And yes I cried when she cut it.

BIG NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all I am a grandma!!!!!!!! Daniel Edward Jr. was born April 30th at 10:15 pm. he weighted 7 lbs 10 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He is very healthy and such a sweet little man. I am LOVING being a grandma. Mom is doing well though dealing with clogged milk ducks at the moment. Poor thing. we have tried a pump, hand expressing. breast massage, warm compresses, hot water bottles and nothing seems to work. she is going to try another hot shower soon and see if that will help. anyone have any ideas beyond that we'll take all advice. I will post some pictures very soon. He is so beautiful. He looks like Daddy excepet he has mama's nose and it looks like he might have her green eyes. Going to be a strikingly handsome little man. I can tell you all that being a grandparent ROCKS. Bobby and I are loving it and the other kids are loving being aunts and an uncle LOL. I can't wait to get some pictures down loaded to post.

Other big news in our house is Lance and Chey asked last weekend to be baptized. When we sat and talked with them and asked them why they said they had both excepted Jesus in their hearts and wanted to show the world through baptism. *sigh* *sniff* They talked with the pastor after church on wens. and went before the church this morning. The baptism will be in the next couple of weeks.

I have my garden started and have been so busy with that and the yard and working on getting some things done to the house./ I'll have a busy week this week. My dad and step mom and maybe my sister are coming in on Thurs and staying till Sunday and Bre's mom is flying in on Friday and staying till Tues. So I will have a MASSIVE full house. it is already almost over flowing but as you all know me so well you know I am LOVING IT. I have all my kids back under 1 roof for a time and now an new grand baby to spoil rotten. My kitchen is constantly busy as is everything else in my life.

Sorry I have been so quite the last few months. Between B going to Honduras and getting the house rearranged and ready for the older ones to get moved here and then getting them all settled in here I have been so very very busy. I will try to stay more in touch. I have missed everyone so very very much. I have not been a very good friend for w while. it's just so hard to find them time to even sit behind the PC at.

Hope this finds you all well. I have lost alot of my websites in my favorite so if any of you have blogs or site you want to share please post them or email them to me again so hopefully I can find the time to catch up on how you are all doing.

Much Love

I have to say

I HATE VIDEO GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we have xbox, ps2, game cube, wii and 2 game boy advance. And to go with those we have over 100 games. I am sick to DEATH of games every where wires every where. I just spent the last 2 HOURS straightening wires, systems and putting games and books in the correct cases and organizing them by system, game type and put them all in baskets nice and neat. by tomorrow they will have it all undone and I am going to be ready to pitch it ALL in the garbage and simplify my life. I swear video games are the bane of my existence. I have already told Bobby no new systems come in this house till one of these or more of them is gone. He wants a PS3 so bad he can taste it and no WAY is that gonna happen till something goes and we have $ to burn which will NOT be any time soon.

No one even playes the stupid game cube and I think I might just load it up and take it to the children's hospital and donate it. It's just sitting here collecting dust.

I HATE VIDEO GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!

New years Mania

Ok so those of you who know me well know that this time of year I get a little bit nuts on the house. well this year it's a little more nuts. It looks like my oldest son and Daughter will be moving up next week. They are going to be living with us for a while. Not sure how long. Maybe till the baby is born in April or May. So I spent the entire day today moving the kids massive dresser out of their room into the back part of the living room. It actually looks really nice their LOL. I put all their toys into a chest behind the couch. So now that room is empty except the bed. Chey still sleeps with us (yes she STILL sleep walks) and Lance will be sleeping on a roll away bed in the den for a while. I also have to get some storage totes to put stuff in that closet in to store in the barn.

With little storage space in this house I've had to get creative in how I store stuff. But it's come along well. by this time next week I'll be exhausted but my house will PERFECT LOL.

FINALLY my entire house is healthy. FINALLY!!! I am praying we all stay that way. It's been a night mare of a cold season for us.

MZ BL does not have her permit yet because she's not finished drivers ed. Here you HAVE to complete it or wait till yer 18. She hasn't been in a hurry and you can BELIEVE I'm not going to rush it LOL. She's given me enough gray hair this year. UGH She is working weekends though at a grocery store and trying to put some $ away for a car so who knows maybe she'll get the bug for her permit soon. *shiver*

OK brakes over back to organizing and cleaning.

Update

Sorry this took so long. Took Chey in on Sat. morning. No strep. She had a bacterial infection in her throat. *sigh* got her on heavy antibiotics that day and her fever broke that night. she woke up in a puddle shivering. Thank goodness. No one else in the house has gotten in thankfully. I am pretty much on the mend finally as well. just a residual cough that I'll likely have for a couple more weeks.

Started yesterday after having wicked cramps for a solid week. Now I just feel as if my innards are being carved out with a dull rusty butter knife. :( I'm so thankful for pain pills. got a whole 21 days reprieve from the ending of my last till yesterday. So much fun. UGH. I'm pretty confident Pip didn't inherit this. Now I just have to wait and see with Chey. She scares me because she is developing as fast as I did and has my total body type. I pray almost daily she won't end up like this.

Any ways for the 1st time in 3 month is seems my house is healthy. I have bleached and Lysol any thing and everything in the house that can be so hopefully we'll all stay that way. Thanks to all for your prayers.

WWYD????

Ok Chey started running a temp on sat night. about 102-103. I stayed home on Sunday morning with her. She seemed fine on Sunday night other than a cough. I sent her to school on Monday. she came home tired but otherwise OK. She went to school yesterday and came home exhausted. She fell asleep on the couch almost instantly after eating a half of a grilled cheese sandwich. She woke up about 2 hours later with an upset stomach. She didn't throw up but turned white as a sheet a seemed to almost pass out for a few minutes. scared the livin day lights outa me. If I had had the truck I might have rushed her to the ER. She was once again running a fever. I gave her Motrin. She seemed ok after a little while.

I kept her home today and she kept a low grade fever with Motrin all day. She's been very pale with dark circles under her eyes. She seems in good spirits though. Her Motrin wore off tonight and her fever spiked at 103. Still she seemed in good spirits despite the fever.

Obviously she is staying home tomorrow again but I can't take her in because B has the truck (jeep is still down) and I can't take him to work because the weather is NASTY (snow, sleet ice, and they don't salt beyond the hwy here) So Friday morning is the soonest I can get her in I think. :(

Would you have B stay home tomorrow or come home early so I can take her in? Or just wait till Fri. I swear this child has me a complete and total wreck. I don't like the way she looks and I don't like this weird fever. She's not in any pain any where and her only other symptom is just a cough. I'm usually not a nervous Nelly when it comes to the kids and colds but this one has me nuts. :( I swear this child will be the death of me yet.

Heart sick

I'm so heart sick for the Travolta family! I can't imagine the pain they are in right now. I watched an interview on Oprah when Jett was only 3 years old and the way John's entire face lit up made me smile so much. He loved that boy beyond words. It's so rare to see such close families in Hollywood. It's so utterly depressing to have such tragedy hit a family like that. I can not imagine their pain. I thought of sending a sympathy card to them but I imagine their will be millions of them.

My prayers go out to that family

Happy New Year !!!

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas and happy new year. we had a nice Xmas. The kids were very happy with their gifts. we didn't have an extravagant Xmas but a good one. Sadly I spent most of the day in bed. Xmas eve was just too much for me still being sick. So Xmas day I laid down about 1 pm and almost instantly fell asleep and B woke me up about 6:30. *sigh*

New years eve was nice and quite. we went out to red lobster for our anniversary dinner. It was so nice and so yummy. came home and watched the stupid ball drop. still can't believe that is our big deal. You'd think we could be more creative than that.

My period finally went away after 22 days but I started getting crampy again yesterday so I'm sure it will be back any time now. All of a 12 day break so far. *sigh* I FINALLY started feeling like I was getting past this cold that last couple of days but then last night started getting snotty again. :( AND Chey started coughing yesterday and by last night had a 101 fever. her fever is more mild this morning but she still has a cough. And of course school starts back tomorrow. We have not had everyone in this house healthy for more than 2 months now and I am so beyond tired of illness. I can NOT wait till spring. *sigh*

Hope everyone had a nice holiday season and is no being plagued by all the illness going around. sending out healthy prayers to everyone. Could use a few ourselves.

WHEW!!!

Well that was exhausting. we left the house at 8 am this morning nad we didn't get home untill 6 pm this evening and I am BEAT!!!! We weren't able to get everything we wanted but most of it. The kids will have a nice xmas. wish we could have gone home for xmas but with the truck giving us fits lately we were afraid to take the chance.

I have tocos in the making then choco chip cookies fr santa to make after dinner. then I get to get the kids off to bed so I can spend the other half of the night wrapping presents. *sigh* But at least my little kids still believe in santa at 10 and almost 9 which is no small miracle in this day and age and something I am very gratefull for.

One thing I found vastly amusing today was the fact that 90% of the people out today were men. ROTFLMBO nothing like waiting till the last minute. I also knoticed that either looked bewildred or disgruntaled LOL. Sevar were at teh jewlry stores going out of business in the mall. lol And some had all their kids in toe. Aparently giving mom a chance to shop or taking them shopping for mom.

Just thought it was vastly amauzing.

Merry Christmas to all my friends.

Well

The little ones went back to school today. Not sure how long they will last. Gave them benadryl before they left but as soon as it wears off they will be itching so they might have to come home. They'll have all of break to recuperate. Most of the swelling is gone from Chey's face but she's still pretty rashy. Lance didn't get it nearly as bad. So glad they are on the mend. I am a nervous wreck when the kids are sick.

I on the other hand am not much if any better 3 doses into my zpack. Not sure what the problem is. I was much better when I had pneumonia after this many doses. To add to it I am on day 19 of my period and I think my newest one hit last night because the bleeding worsened. I guess I'm not going to get a reprieve at all this month. Not sure what the heck is going on unless this is due to peri-menopause. *sigh* I will be SO grateful when I don't have them any more. I am spending more $ on pads now than milk I think and that is a real feat in this house. :(

This weekend promises to be a busy one. Play practice for the little kids tomorrow for Sunday morning. then play practice for us adults after church on Sunday most of the day for Sunday night. Tomorrow I HAVE to go shopping for the kids gift exchange at church and my secret pal. I also have to make my bouche de noel and croquembouche for after church on Sunday night.

Guess who gets to go do ALL of their Christmas shopping on Xmas eve? Yep that would be me thanks to my truck soaking up all of our Xmas funds in advance. Bobby's dad wants us to drive down for Xmas but That's just not going to happen. We're worried about the truck breaking down though not for any firm reason other than paranoia. not to mention B has no vacation time so we would have to drive down early Xmas eve then run out the door to do our Xmas shopping at the last possible second. Even with Dad paying for our gas it just wouldn't be possible. *sigh* which really sucks because I would dearly love to spend Xmas with our families and see the older kids.

Got another US picture on my phone of my grandson. *sigh* oh how I miss those days. I am so very excited about this. You have no idea. I'm trying to figure out what the baby should call me LOL. My family always used Grandma except for my Dad's mom who was Nana. Don't care for that. Bobby's family always used Grammy. Don't really care for that. Bobby will be Pawpaw like his dad is to the kids. I'm deciding between grandma, meemaw, or mamaw. The latter 2 are what most people here call grandmas. LOL I'm leaning towards mamaw. So we would be mamaw and pawpaw. LOL Can you even BELIEVE I'm fixin to eb a grandma? For all my excitement it is making me feel SOOOOOO old. LOL But I have to tell you all it is wonderful despite that. The adult relationship with my son and DIL is so nice and looking forward to helping them through the newness of parenthood is so cool. even experiencing the pregnancy this way is just the coolest thing. And looking forward to a four generation Xmas next year is awesome. Enjoy your kids ladies but look totally forward to them grown with families of their own as well because it has a an amazing feeling too.

Help?

Ok Ladies. Anyone here ever had or had a kid with scarlet fever? I am freaking out. If it's possible Chey's face is TWICE as swollen this morning as yesterday. :( Bobby and I are beginning to wonder if they were diagnosed correctly. Chey has 1 large white spot on her throat. Her body is covered in rash her face being the worst. And there is NO fever at all. not even low grade. Lance is worst this morning as well but not even remotely close to what Chey is.

Technically they can go back to school tomorrow but there is no WAY I'm going to be able to send this little girl to school if she hasn't improved a 100% by then. she is so miserable. I'm worried to death. They said if she hasn't improved in 2-3 days to bring her back in. I'm not sure I can wait that long.

As for me the cough syrup worked awesome and I slept 10 hours straight last night and am finally coughing up this stuff in my chest. so I think I'm on the mend. thank goodness since I have Xmas to get ready for and haven't bought the 1st gift. and have 2 sick kids. Bobby's dad wants us to come down for Xmas and pay for gas but if these kids don't get better that is not going to happen. *sigh*

I'm so worried. any advice?

YIPPY

2 kids with scarlet fever and I have bronchitis! So much fun in our house. Poor little Chey looks like a puffer fish. Her little face is beat red and swollen twice the size. the bazaar thing is neither her nor lance have a fever. Just the rash and a mild sore throat. but they tested positive. So we are all on antibx and I just dosed them up with binadryl. OY

And since nothing has been said we are assuming no promotions are forthcoming. oh well it would have been nice but we're just thankful we have a secure job.

bah humbug

Well we didn't get to go to the Xmas party. Our baby sitter got sick at the last minute and we couldn't find a replacement and BL had to work. So all the time I spent on the dress was a bust. :( oh well maybe I'll just wear it next year. It turned out so pretty too.

We just had to spend another $150 on my truck to replace a wheel hub assembly. *sigh* I had a good long talk with her and asked he not to brake down again till we get our taxes back. That certainly cut into our Xmas budget.

Bobby's boss got his promotion but do you think he has let anyone else know if they will get a promotion? NO! ugh. we have no idea what if any changes he's going to make. Ah well even if it doesn't happen that's OK. we still have a good secure job and that is the most important thing. But the suspense is killing me. LOL the company got a new contract this week.l A big contract. the irony is that all 18 molds we'll be getting all came from Bobby's former company. Apparently since he's left things have gone WAY down hill and this company was not satisfied with their work any longer. I also suspect that Bobby's name was dropped and that help secure their business. And one of the guys B used to have under him contacted him last week wanting a job. This kid was one of few Bobby actually liked and was worth a darn so he's likely gonna hire him. While we feel bad for the old company this makes us more secure where we are and that's very good.

Anyone else finding Xmas trees depressing this year? Not sure if it's from draught or what but the trees here are positively depressing. they are scrawny and skinny and the only kind you can find are Douglas furs (yuck) and there are not many too choose from. we went out this morning and almost every place was sold out. We have 1 last place to look tonight and if they don't have any then I might be force to buy an artificial one UGH.

Now if I could just get past this stupid cold I have life might be more pleasant. I have the WORST cough. nothing seems to help. If I'm not better by wens or at least showing signs of getting better I'm going to the doc. I'm narrator for our Xmas play at church and can barely speak with out coughing and can NOT sing Xmas carols for having such a sore throaght and that is positively depressing.

On the very UP side of life it is looking very likely that the kids will be moving here in Jan. I am SO excited. That means my grandson will be born here and I'll get to baby sit him while mom and dad are working. can I just tell you HOW excited I am?

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

*sigh* Kids are gone

And I'm so sad. they left this morning. They were here for a week and we had the best time. Thanksgiving was wonderful. Kendra and her boyfriend were here and we all just had a blast. The food of course was delish and I think I gained 5 lbs this week. ugh LOL

Bree is so cute. she seems to think she has this huge belly. BWAHAHAHAHAHA yea right. She's so tiny. lil Jr is a squirmy little guy. She laid on the floor with me and even at 5 months I could feel him. Her tummy is so tiny and firm and she is ALL baby. She's of course bummin out on loosing her perfect little figure and afraid she's going to be as big as a house and never get her shape back. Bobby told her she's carrying JUST like I did and just all baby and she'll be back in her old jeans by the time Jr. is a month old. And it's true.

Daniel is so cute. when we would relax and watch TV at night he would have her cuddled against him rubbin her tummy. I can't tell you how many times I burst into tears LOL. of course I was PMSing all week too LOL. I started yesterday. Bobby and Daniel were picking on us for being hormonal emotional wenches. LOL Daniel was fussing over how hormonal and emotional Bre is ROTFLMBO Bobby told him if he thinks it's going to get better after the baby is born he better think again ;)

They left as I was taking the kids to school and Lance and Chey were almost in tears. *sigh* we all miss them so much. but it looks like it will be about a year before they can get up here to live. I guess that will have to do.

On the up side it looks like Bobby might be getting a big promotion. we won't likely know until at least Friday. I'm praying and keeping my fingers crossed. If he gets this he'll become a "staff member" and get the big fat staff bonus in October. He'll also get a heck of a raise and more stock options. There are a couple of possibilities. He could get plant manager or he could even get GM. He's the best option for GM but politically we're not sure than can happen. If he got GM. the raise would be outrageous as well as stock and bonus. This last Oct. the GM bought his wife one of the new Cadillac SUVs and paid cash for it. mmmmmmmmmm nice. LOL thinking I would be using that fat bonus to buy me a farm. LOL So anyways we're praying for God's will what ever that might be. Neither of us are greedy and only want what we're supposed to have.

I'm really struggling over my hair. I know I should chop it off. I know it would look better. I know I'm getting too old to wear it to my rear end. But the thought of it makes me ill. But it's not looking very nice these days. it's so thin now it just looks stringy. I'm thinking just to my shoulders with layering would be for the best. Bobby has heart palpitations when I talk that short. he thinks to my bra strap is more than short enough. *sigh* I'm such a coward. The Xmas party is on Friday and I keep thinking I'll have it done then so my hair looks nice. but again I start to feel ill. No idea what I'm going to do.

Well DUH!!

Ok so my truck stalled at church on Sunday night and would not restart. Would not even try to turn over. (and of the course the jeep is down now as well) A good friend let us use his little Rav 4 and we had the truck towed into the dealership yesterday. The entire day went by and the only thing they could tell us is that it would not hook into the diag PC and it looked like Major electrical problems that might cost as much as $1700. But they could tell us for sure yet as they couldn't find the cause.

They just called us. It was FUSE a stinkin little fuse. (slapping hand on forehead for not even thinking that) So while our prayers were answered that it would not be a costly fix I am slightly disgruntled and fell like an idiot that a FUSE just cost us $176 (that is towing, fuse cost and labor) I'm pretty certain the fuse didn't cost more than $6. OY. note to self..... check fuses in the future before having truck towed.

Of course that cut into my spending money for a party dress. BUT a FABULOUS friend sent me a dress she had she no longer wore that is STUNNING. I have to take it in a little bit which I will be doing this weekend. I know when I'm don it will look perfection. It's so classy and elegant and pretty. AND I think BL is also going to wear it to winter formal. Of course I will post some pictures.

I'm so blessed with WONDERFUL friends.

IT'S A BOY!!!!

LOL. Daniel and Bre had a US last friday. And it's a boy. He will be Daniel Jr. and will either be called Jr. or DJ. No Danny thank you. Daniel HATED Danny. We're all so excited. She is due May 4th for inquiring minds.

They will be here next wen. I'm so happy they'll be here for TG. We will have a house full. They will be here as well as his ex-girlfriend Kendra LOL and her new boyfriend. Kendra was very sweet and asked Bre if it would be OK for her to come. She didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable. I think it will be a great time. I swear only in our family would something like that happen. LOL

I swear I am so tired lately and have no clue why. Think the cold is doing it to me. I HATE the cold and it always makes me want to hibernate till spring. I've really had to force my self to stay out of bed this week and get the house cleaned and some baking done. Fri is Bobby's 45 birthday. Good grief we're getting old. And the man is making me nuts. He has it in his head he needs to go to the damn amazon on a mission trip. To say I am NOT happy about that is a gross understatement. Honduras is dangerous enough. I can't handle him going somewhere were every living thing is out to kill him including the native tribes. OY

Beating a dead horse

I do this every year and every year I swear I am NOT going to do this. *sigh* The company Xmas party is coming. I swear I must be the only woman on the face of the earth that DESPISES clothes shopping for herself. If it isn't for blue jeans and t-shirts I hate shopping for it. :( I looked online yesterday at patterns and dresses and can I just say WHO THE HECK DESIGNS THIS CRAP?????? No one in the freaking real world thnkyouverymuch. I am so appalled by how ugly and or trashy most things are these days. Half of what I saw I'm thinking who has taste that bad? the other half my 1st thought was 'street corner' and I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one. I was looking with Bobby and Chey last night and Chey kept saying things like "that is SO ugly who would wear that?" and "holy mackerel look how much of her boobs are showing" out of the mouths of babes.

I found TWO dresses out of thousands I like. One doesn't have my size and the other is WAY out of my price range. *sigh* no idea what I'm going to do.

What I wanna know is what ever happen to the sexy classy elegant fashions of old. I'm thinking Ava Gardener, Audry Hepburn, Jackie O, Grace Kelly. *sigh* now those were truly ladies clothes.

Here is my favorite photo of Ava Gardner (the most beautiful woman ever) and if I could find THAT dress I would be in heaven. that is the most beautiful dress. Elegant, classy, sexy!!
http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/071017/hottiewomen/gardner_l.jpg

One of the ones I found is almost identical to it but it's $200 :( ah well I guess the hunt is on. Who knows maybe I'll make another of the fishtailed flapper gowns only this time in black silk with diamante star burst design on the side of it. Not quite as sexy as the 'Ava Dress' but would do I guess. And yes I love black for evening wear.

And the worst thing is taking my husband with me because he hates shoping as much as I do but I need his opinion on stuff. he has great taste and is brutally honest with me. But dang he whines so much.

I really hate that we have to attend these things. ugh I am so anti social.
